Disney Run Makes Southeast Asia Debut in Singapore This July

Mickey Mouse and friends are lacing up their sneakers, and they’re bringing the whole gang to Sentosa!

The Disney Run Singapore 2026 presented by UNIQLO will take place on 5 July at Palawan Green, marking the first-ever Disney Mickey Mouse and friends-themed fun run in Southeast Asia. Organised by RUNRIO and backed by UNIQLO as Presenting Sponsor, the event centres on friendship and togetherness, with race elements inspired by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and friends.

It is a significant moment for the region’s running scene. While Disney-themed races have built passionate followings elsewhere in the world, this is the first time one lands in Southeast Asia, and Singapore gets to host the debut.

UNIQLO Brings LifeWear to the Start Line

UNIQLO’s involvement extends well beyond branding. Participants will receive official race T-shirts featuring Mickey & Friends-themed designs as part of the collaboration with UNIQLO Singapore, and the retailer will set up activations at the race village on event day. Selected UNIQLO stores will also run Disney Run-inspired activities, bringing the celebration beyond Palawan Green.

Paulene Ong, Marketing Director at UNIQLO Singapore, said the partnership aligns with the brand’s LifeWear philosophy: “As participants get ready for the run, we encourage them to choose comfortable options such as our quick-drying DRY-EX items with breathable mesh, and Ultra Stretch bottoms that move easily in all directions.

“Through LifeWear, we hope to make an active lifestyle more joyful, accessible — and a little more magical — for everyone.”

The sponsorship builds on UNIQLO’s decade-long global collaboration with Disney through the MAGIC FOR ALL project, which brings beloved characters into everyday life through clothing and in-store experiences worldwide.

A Run For Everyone

With three different race distances, the Disney Run is designed to accommodate all fitness levels. Participants can choose from: a 5km route for those looking for a more energetic challenge, a 3km option for a relaxed, easy-paced morning out, and a 1km category designed for shared participation — inviting a parent and child to enjoy a joyful stroll together.

Race Swag Worth Collecting

Beyond the UNIQLO race tee, participants will take home a suite of themed race essentials from RUNRIO, including a drawstring bag, finisher’s towel, finisher’s medal and race bib – all featuring designs of fan-favourite Disney characters. Each of the three distances comes with its own distinct finisher’s medal design, which will likely make completing all three categories a tempting proposition for collectors and Disney fans alike.

A Regional First for RUNRIO

RUNRIO, a premier race organiser founded in 2007 by elite runner Rio de la Cruz, has built a reputation for immersive “concept runs” that blend fitness with entertainment. The company has organised over 500 events for more than three million participants across Southeast Asia, partnering with global brands including The Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm.

De la Cruz said bringing the Disney Run to Singapore was about making the magic accessible: “Mickey & Friends are loved across generations, and this run is designed to offer something for everyone.

“Having UNIQLO on board as our Presenting Sponsor allows us to elevate the experience further. It provides an opportunity for people to stay active with their loved ones in a way that is playful, fun and accessible.”
