FISE Makes Its Singapore Debut, Bringing the World’s Biggest Urban Sports Festival to Orchard Road

FISE, the world’s largest urban sports festival, will make its Singapore debut on 22 and 23 November at *SCAPE and Somerset Skate Park. The free two-day event, part of the Singapore Urban Sports + Fitness Festival 2025, will feature an extensive lineup of BMX, skateboarding, breaking, rollerblading, and flatland, alongside youth clinics, community contests, and live demonstrations.

The world’s largest urban sports festival, FISE (Festival International des Sports Extrêmes), will make its first-ever appearance in Singapore on 22 and 23 November, bringing an extensive programme of BMX, skateboarding, breaking, rollerblading, and flatland to *SCAPE and Somerset Skate Park. The event is part of the Singapore Urban Sports + Fitness Festival (SGUSFF) 2025 and is free for all to attend.

A Major Arrival for Urban Sports in Singapore

Since its establishment in 1997, FISE has evolved into a global platform, hosting large-scale, youth-driven urban sports festivals in cities such as Montpellier and Chengdu. The Singapore edition continues this approach, turning Orchard Road into an accessible venue for sport, creativity, and community participation.

Across both days, the festival will feature youth clinics, open sessions, community contests, cash-for-tricks battles, and spine-ramp demonstrations accompanied by live DJs. The format mirrors FISE’s signature blend of elite performance and grassroots engagement.

International Athletes Headline the Festival

FISE Singapore will bring together a strong lineup of international athletes across multiple disciplines.

BMX star Ryan Williams (Australia), a multi-time Nitro World Games and X Games medallist, will ride and emcee throughout the weekend. In breaking, France’s Carlota Dudek, a double national champion and Olympic qualifier, and Spain’s Juan “Xak” De La Torre Sanchez will participate.

BMX Flatland will feature Canada’s Jean-William Prévost, a world champion, and Julien Baran of France, who recently secured a podium finish at FISE Montpellier 2025. Skateboarding representatives include Pedro Quintas of Brazil, an Olympic finalist, and France’s Stellio Sakellarides. Rollerblading will see four-time world champion Joe Atkinson (UK) perform.

Singapore will also be represented by 8-year-old Chloe Chua, an aggressive inline skater and multi-medallist who made her FISE World Series debut in Shanghai earlier this year. She will perform on a FISE stage at home for the first time.

Strengthening Urban Sports Development in the Region

FISE Singapore marks the first step in establishing a long-term presence for the festival in Southeast Asia. The event aligns with Sport Singapore’s efforts to grow urban sports through SGUSFF and aims to position Singapore as a future hub for global and regional action-sport events.

Clement Tan, Director at Kin Productions, said: “We’re proud to bring FISE to Singapore, creating a space where sport, culture, and youth expression converge. This marks the beginning of a larger journey to grow urban sports across Southeast Asia, and Singapore is ready to lead it. We’re building a long-term platform that supports local communities, empowers athletes, and involves fans in the movement.”

Dean Tan, Deputy Chief, Industry Development Group at Sport Singapore, added: “Urban sports emphasise creativity alongside athleticism, and FISE Singapore captures this spirit at this year’s Singapore Urban Sports + Fitness Festival. Breaking, as a form of dance growing in appeal in Singapore, shows how everyday movements can transform into powerful performances. We hope to inspire more youths to leverage on sports to foster creativity and social connections.”

Lilian Chee, Director, Sports at Singapore Tourism Board, said:
“We are delighted to have the world’s biggest urban sports festival coming to Singapore, enriching our robust events calendar with its high energy and multidisciplinary action. Besides showcasing Singapore’s vibrancy, staging the electrifying FISE also enhances our reputation as a premier sporting destination. We look forward to welcoming the athletes and fans from around the world and invite them to discover the diverse offerings our city has to offer.”

Ethen Ong, Deputy Executive Director at *SCAPE, said: “As a space dedicated to youth development, SCAPE is proud to host FISE Singapore 2025. This event reflects our commitment to empowering young people through sport, creativity, and community, and we’re excited to welcome both global talent and local youth to our space at Somerset Belt, in the heart of Orchard Road.”

Entry to FISE Singapore is free. Participants who wish to join contests or masterclasses must register in advance and pay a participation fee. Registration information is available via Kin Productions’ social media pages.
