Snow is set to fall in the heart of Orchard Road this September school holidays. Ride in the City, a collaboration between holiday club pioneer Club Med and sports experience provider TRIFECTA Singapore, will bring snow-capped slopes and rolling surf into the city centre.
Families can look forward to back-to-back fun this weekend (6 – 7 September), when TRIFECTA hosts all-day activities from snow sledding to surf and ski classes. Snowfall every fifteen minutes will turn the tropics into a wintry scene, offering a magical backdrop for participants.
Back for its second run after last year’s inaugural “Ski in the City,” which gathered winter sport lovers for a snowy escape downtown, participants can now get a taste of the 9.34m-long Citywave Surf Machine.
Coinciding with the September holiday weekend, the family-friendly experience also offers free activities, including face painting, cotton candy stalls, a bouncy castle, and creative workshops such as bucket hat making and cookie piping.
Thrill-seekers can put their skills to the test in Saturday’s freestyle snowboarding competition, before catching waves at a surf showcase on Sunday. Participants stand a chance to win prizes such as Club Med resort stays and TRIFECTA class packages.
